Project Justification
Management’s requests for current information on grant status and activities are not being met. Reports produced are inconsistent and difficult to evaluate across the various programs. The NJ Urban and Community Forestry Program is not able to adequately provide information to our stakeholders regarding their Accreditation with our program. This includes approved management plans, core training, continuing education units and reporting requirements

Wade McPherson is still being extended for more work ongoing beyond July 2023 to Dec. 2023.
A meeting is pending with Ben and Todd Wycoff on status for this project.
from 6/20/22:
Hi Ben,
See below – I expect the augmentation will proceed. It was a good meeting today, and I will want to connect with you about it, possibly waiting until our next 1 on 1. I updated the project in Jira to reflect the whole project, and not just a hiring exercise. I want to review the problem statement with you as well. Carrie is sending what she already has that may stand in for the Charter part B and maybe part C. We will want to consider the next interest after this which will seek to build robust reporting for the agency and the public from the converted SQL database, and to integrate the urban forestry info with NJEMS (or at least make the info readily available and useful to the rest of DEP).
