Migrate eTrips Web Server to OIT Infrastructure

Description

Part of the NJOIT data center consolidation project. The eTrips application is currently hosted on physical server dep-pega in the 401 data center. A new VM (ep-etrips1-hi-e) has been established to move the application to OIT’s datacenter.

2022-08-16 - Tomcat instance configured

IP address switch needs to be scheduled on off hours. Switch is necessary to preserve the ability of the MyNJ portal to serve the application through the existing portal configuration.

Problem Statement

The current dep-pega server is a physical machine hosted at NJDEP. It needs to be migrated to a VM on OIT's infrastructure.

VM created by OIT - Complete

Tomcat Web Server installed on new VM - Complete
eTrips Instance initialized - In Progress
Swap IP addresses of physical server and VM

Kurt Jaegers 16 August 2022, 18:01

Tomcat instance has been created and the instance is ready for testing by Jim Bridgewater’s group. Email sent to that group. All that remains now is to schedule the switchover.

VM has been established and the necessary installation steps for Tomcat have been completed. SSL enabled on server. Configuration needs to be updated to match dep-pega for sub-web redirection to support MyNJ portal.
