RAW Sampling data is currently submitted via email in three seperate files which identify the site, sampling location and sampling results. The data is then verified using an application developed by BIS, processed using an outdated application built by CGI, and ingested into COMPASS. 12,839 EDD submissions were received by BIS in FY2022 with only 12,004 submissions migrated into COMPASS. A significant number of EDD submissions are not ingested into COMPASS (835 for FY2022).

The CSRRP COMPASS data is used extensively in GIS mapping application and reporting to investigate sources of contamination and contaminant migration in the remedial decision-making process. Capturing all of the sampling data will result in more accurate decisions and allow additional data sharing with Department of Health
