[DW-VA1G4 & DW-VG4] Tech Support is having issues with G4 Recovery firmware.

Description

FW v.1.0.9.0 & v1.5.3.6

Model: ALL DW-VA1G4 & DW-VG4

Tech support is having an issue completing the recovery firmware process.

Is the recovery process the same as A1 Plus & IP Plus?

Can you send instructions if the process has changed.

Can you resend the recovery files?

tested with (2) usbs. 1 worked. 1 did not.

Same size. Same format.

일단 Recovery FW 파일이 깨졌을 가능성이 있어보여..

똑같은 파일을 다시 압축해서 첨부했으니 확인 바랍니다.

Still having an issue with the recovery FW.

  1. USB file system = FAT32

  2. renamed the folder to what worked with previous version and the name used in the original email.

  3. Also I tested with a singlar file on the USB drive.

  4. I tried both front and back USB slots.

After renaming the file and removing v1.5.3.6, it works fine.

  1. FAT32 파일시스템

  2. 폴더명을 변경하지 말고 아래와 같이 유지. (첨부파일에는 recovery_files v1.5.3.6 폴더로 되어있음)

The DVR recovery FW is okay.

We aren’t able to run recovery on NVR. When the drive is connected the unit reboots normally.

NVR 과 DVR은 복구 파일이 다릅니다. (David 에게 확인바랍니다.)

그리고 복구파일 발행 당시 FW버전으로 업그레이드 될것이며, 설정값은 초기화 되지 않습니다.

단, NVR 같은 경우 복구파일 목록에 07_recovery_file.ap 와 07_recovery_file.ap.crc 파일이 존재하면 설정값도 초기화 됩니다.

When the DVR is successfully recovered will it factory reset? Will it still be on v1.0.9.0 and not downgraded to previous v1.0.8.0 like the NVR does?

TS is still having an issue with NVR recovery. I ran a test with all 3 models and it was unsuccessful. This is what TS is currently using. Can you check if the file is correct?

현스펙입니다.

DVR계열은 Recovery 후 두번쨰 Beep 2번 울리고 나면 수동으로 리부팅 해줘야 합니다.

NVR계열은 Recovery 후 자동으로 리부팅됩니다.

A1 G4 not successful; was stuck on the loading screen.

Steps I used.  

  1.  I downgraded to v1.0.8.0 

  2. Downloaded recovery file for DW-VA1G44xT

  3. Transferred to USB 

  4. Connected to DVR and rebooted.

  5. I heard 2 beeps at the start and 2 long beeps later

  6. DVR got stuck on the Logo screen. 

  7. I unplugged the unit and reconnected 

  8. When it came back online it was v1.0.9.0

Tried again without downgrading.

  1. Heard the same 2 beeps and 2 long beeps later.

  2. Stuck on logo screen.

  3. Unplugged unit and reconnected.

  4. DVR is on v1.0.9.0

I successfully used recovery firmware on IP G4.

  1. Downloaded recovery zip file to USB 

  2. Extracted all inside USB 

  3. Connected to NVR and rebooted. 

  4. During reboot the system recovery image was displayed. 

  5. Once it was back online it was v1.5.3.4
