EJ dashboard (CGI rec 4.10)
Description
This project should result in one or more dashboards, internal and public, showing EJ-rule subject applications and their status. It may further lead to a refined and updated general activity dashboard that may include EJ law-related filters. For example, a public dashboard might be able to show all DEP activities over time and space, filterable by programs, categories, classes and types, as well as possibly showing: activities at any of the EJ-law-defined-and-subject facility types; activities at sites within an OBC or not; activities flagged and referred for EJ review; AND activities actually subject to EJ law.
Problem Statement
There are no dashboards yet to be able to browse cumulative activity under the EJ law.
Project Justification
OPPN, programs and DEP leaders lack the power of interactive dashboards to appreciate current activity and trends under the EJ Law. The same is true for the public although their interest is likely to be satisfied after internal dashboards allow for optimizing the design and confirming data quality.
Estimated Transactions
The Oct 2022 spreadsheet showed about 210 records referred to OPPN in the 13 months since the AO of Sept 2021. A small subset of these are expected to trigger the law and result in OPPN NJEMS Project records.

3 EJ dashboards have been developed in Tableau. Two have been reviewed and updated based on Dave Pepe’s requests. All 3 are under further review by Dave Pepe.
