Internet Connectivity for Airvac Monitoring SMART (Strategic Monitoring for Advanced Remote Transfer) System for Sewer Line at Island Beach State Park
Description
This project will provide internet connectivity for the Airvac Monitoring system so that data can be sent to
to Airvac cloud servers for display of system operation and provide alerting of any system operation alarms. The system will also identify any blockage or “water logging” and fire the valve to eliminate the issue. This system will send real time data to maintenance staff to potentially find any issues and resolve them so the park will not have to be closed and patrons asked to leave.
Provide internet connectivity for the Airvac Monitoring system. This connectivity can be cellular. The router can be state owned but would need to be configured according to the following conditions.
Two locations need this connectivity: • Admin Office Pump Station • Maintenance Facility Pump Station
Likely need a ruggedized cellular modem like R980 | Endpoints | NetCloud Equipment | Ericsson as the environment the device will be in is not climate controlled.
The Airvac Monitoring and SMART systems operate on the local Airvac manufactured monitoring panel that includes hardware which gets its settings from an Airvac cloud server. This panel also sends data to Airvac cloud servers for display of system operation and provides alerting of any system operation alarms. For this to function properly specific communications and addressing is required, as follows. The customer shall have installed a internet service with wired ethernet output having at least 10mb/s data rate. The internet service shall be ordered with an external fixed IP address. An internet firewall router must be used to protect the internal network. Airvac will provide a Sonicwall router configured as described here. The customer may provide their own router if they wish, but settings must match those required. The router must provide an internal IP range of 192.168.10.0 and have an internet gateway address of 192.168.10.1. Internet access must be provided for internal range 192.168.10.0 Internet access should not be provided for internal range 192.168.9.0 External ports 1883 and 8883 must port forward to our internal software running at IP address 192.168.10.21 on the same ports for tcp and udp. Provide the internet service fixed external IP address, gateway information to Airvac for further configuration requirements with Airvac hardware and cloud services. AirVac will supply all labor material and supervision to install 3 smart valves to monitor the sewer main at IBSP. They will set up the entire system and monitor to make sure it is operational.
Problem Statement
Project Justification
The closure of the park because of sewer line problems on the 4th of July 2025. Additional time and effort to manage and maintain the sewer line daily.
