Temperature Mini-Bid
Description
The goal of the Temperature Mini-bid project is to identify the
cause of temperature impairments listed on New Jersey’s 2022
303(d) list and outline methods for impairment amelioration. This
project is facilitated by NJDEP’s BEARS staff and will be conducted
by private consultants via a NJ Department of Treasury Mini-Bid
contract T3135.
As part of the Clean Water Act (CWA) federal regulations, the
Department is required to prepare a TMDL for all impaired waters
on the 303(d) list. The Temperature Mini-Bid project furthers the
Department’s efforts to address temperature impairments in New
Jersey.
As part of the proposed project, the consultants will be creating a
GIS StoryMap/dashboard to display the temperature impairments
and data relevant to the impairments. This dashboard will be used
internally by BEARS staff to review the impairments and drivers
and will guide future TMDL decision making. We are requesting
guest access to the NJDEP ArcGIS online account, so the
consultants can build the StoryMap/dashboard within the
Department’s account and bypass issues associated with GIS
project transfer.
