2) Spawn a ship that has a cargo grid that can hold a 16 SCU container (Hull-A for example)
3) Fly to a location that will let you purchase commodities (surface mining outpost)
4) Purchase 16 SCU of cargo to spawn a single crate
5) If you're using a Hull-A, with the cargo in view, walk away from your ship until the cargo crate disappears.
6) If you have a ship with internal cargo storage, using a tractor beam, grab the 16 SCU crate and move it out to your max tractor beam range.

What happened

The box disappears earlier than you'd expect.

1 and 8 SCU boxes are still visible at a distance where 16 SCU crates vanish.

What should have happened
-------------------------
16 SCU crates should be visible at the same distances (or greater) than smaller boxes.
