Regular calls by Ben with Liberty office, Jeffrey Martin in engaged. A problem with SIM cards arose. Open question about whether the acquired SIMS can work with our extra-net. See attached email - Jeffrey is seeking clarification from NJOIT.
Device IMEIs sent to Nicole Gleisner and Tyler Patterson for setup. Division of Information Technology (Jeffrey Martin) recommended that a Verizon’s Mobile Private Network would be the connectivity solution. Previously we 6 SIMs on FirstNet were to be activated which will need to be cancelled / not used.
Open question is about connectivity between the trailer and the mobile camera units. Need Kurt’s involvement on the GSN connectivity question - server security setting questions etc. . SIM cards on cameras using cell.
Neither Kurt nor Pete have been involved in any planning efforts and neither is aware of a role for DOIT in any planned deployment. At program request ahead of FY23 spending deadline, Pete has approved hardware purchases.
Major Police Supplies is the vendor with trailers and equipment already ordered. Details of network/security implications are not entirely clear at this point.

Upon further review it appears that the vendor Packetalk is not on the contract for Automated License Plate Reader systems / services. It would likely not be successful to pursue a waiver. Will need to get bids from vendors on the current contract.
Still working with Procurement (Deana Kunkle), will need to revisit with Liberty contact Philip Arrigo and Jose Salerna if they provided scope of work to Deana as requested on 10/13.
Meeting with Grace Barger, Philip Arrigo, Craig Dorsett and Joanne Antczak of Liberty to discuss procurement process. The grant funding from OHSP needs to be used by July of 2023. It is desired to use the same vendor (Packettalk) that setup the mobile tower camera surveillance system as this new equipment would tie into the same plate form as the tower camera. Attached are the preliminary quotes which many need to be modified.
Grace B. is assisting with working with Deena Kunkle and Josephine Clark to determine how to do a DPA increase to overcome the $150K threshold.
