TEAMs Entitlement Management

Description

NJOIT as the tenant owner has the only capability to extend rights or features for the desired visibility. Microsoft (Tony Pagano) has facilitated conversations and an MTC engagement leading to NJOIT commitment to build a universal application and views for all agencies to better manage new team requests, all existing teams and membership and clearance of non-state collaborators.

Project Justification

There is no way to know about or manage ALL DEP TEAMs and their access in one place, introducing security risks (for failure to remove third party collaborators after engagements end) and potential to duplicate TEAM workspaces

No new awareness as of today by MS. Need to engage directly with NJOIT and Sean. Knute to follow-up with Kurt and Pete on who should be making contact on this. Tony thinks the environment may be with Elliot’s group??

Project remains stuck at OIT, due to licenses needed. The delay stalled the effort. Tony spoke with Sean (OIT) and he and John Parker with MS will meet next to put this into place. Conditional statement is needed NJDEP is expected to be the first Agency to see the roll-out. NJDEP is close to hitting its 250 TEAMs limit each. And we cannot see all Teams in one place.

Sean at DOIT is still working toward sharing the environment with Kurt’s team as of the MS Success Sync 11/30.

MTC engagement - Rapid Prototype - 10/6 GCC Demo tenant, Office 365 and power platform licensing, to build a collaborative tool to manage access to teams. Session is both documentation of DEP requirements and exploration of what is possible. OIT is interested and “eager” to build this with potential to provide an agency-wide solution.
