This project (#37) may need to proceed ahead of the larger long term planning that is noted in other comments here and with the linked # 317.

Oracle describes ongoing value to Froms, but latest version is from 2015 and Oracle acknowledges that many are taking steps to escape this very mature technology not build for web/cloud originally. Oracle Forms Statement of Direction

Current projects for TCPA Annual Reports and DPHS Discharge Confirmation Reports next steps:
Testing TomEE Sys update and status. Next step is April 4 when the platform will require a test by everyone affected. Resolution of Submit error occurring for eNJRMP. Submit error fix is being tested in Sys, expected to be ready for production from vendor when we have a prod environment. Rich is working on prod environment with OIT - no ability to predict timing. App Servers and database are ready, its the coordinating with OIT that is uncertain.
Finish LSAR - According to Victor this is being handled. Phyllis noted file scan requirement by OIT. Being handled by application of McAffee tool. Discussion of file size limits. 1Gig seems to be a meaningful size for slowdown. Victor to follow-up. Paul to look into file sizes anticipated in new service.
PSAR: initial draft was 8/22 PSAR is for DPCC AND also notes the whole move of RSP from Gallsfish to TomEE which does not need a separate PSAR as its only an upgrade. Can move forward when CGI updates some pieces. This is needed ahead of setup of production with OIT. HISTORY: Homeland security and OIT objected 2 years ago to Glassfish and required move to TomEE. Victor to handle SAR close-outs: will send the latest diagram with another answer on server names from Phyllis. To be closed out with testing.
Finish applications’ issues tracker/troubleshooting Paul noted and shared a bad screen that Victor needs details on to address (new bug). Paul cannot get to RMP option past this screen. Using the 2 RSP links for testing going forward Phyllis to resend to Paul.
Additional module for DPHS DPCC/DCR Plans - There is a question of any need to expand the LSAR/PSAR. Currently nesting 2 services together, looking to nest this as a third. No new features that we don’t already have, but with larger files. Consensus is to complete this SAR process, then approach the third service as a new TIP that should move easily.
Long-term planning for Facits and Online applications feeding FACITS This began with a discussion of the imaging plans going forward and how ingesting these files into FACITS will mesh with imaging and OPRA. Jim to schedule follow-up imaging meeting (Michele Zola and Phyllis); Knute introduced concern of vulnerability with Systemetrix as small company with deep knowledge of multiple systems and unclear capacity/longevity beyond Phyllis' tenure. One question is about viability of Oracle Forms and whether/when or what to convert to. Knute to set next meeting on long term plans (Phyllis, Jim’s team, Paul/x-ray lead/Nicole, Walter/Mike Gage)
Meeting with Paul, Nicole and Knute 3/13/23 - Overall Project status and direction check-in.
We discussed near term and long-term considerations for the project that has faced significant delays including the need to wait for a TomEE environment that is now close to being ready. We went over some difficult realities for systems like FACITS that are outside the DEP’s enterprise architecture and are falling farther outside DOIT capacity to evolve or plan for. Next steps:
Paul will set up a meeting with the contractor Systemtrix in 1-2 weeks to include Knute and Nicole with agenda:
Re-confirm steps and blockers to complete 2 services under development (TCPA and DPCC event reporting)
Discuss path to adding a 3rd service (DPCC plans)
Discuss what is needed for long term system reliability
Knute will confer with DOIT staff about this agenda, further DOIT attendance in the planned meeting, and status/implications/advice for the SAR process.
