Hazardous Materials Risk Mapping
Description
This project will deliver comprehensive risk identification maps showing both sources and sensitive receptors. The maps produced will be provided securely to the appropriate officials for sharing as needed across state and local partners called to plan for and respond to hazardous material incidents and releases.
Project Justification
In addition to historic difficulty meeting site-specific planning requirements spelled out in EPCRA, there is an emerging need to consider combined risks including routes of travel as highlighted by recent hazardous material rail incidents making the national news.

All Maps (for each muni and for in transit - by corridor, plus worst case by facility, perhaps 1,000 maps, all static) are done and published to HISN Homeland Security Information Network. Access is being worked on through confidentiality agreements and outreach. This is not currently funded for updates.
