UHot Service

Description

Currently an Online Service does not exist for unregulated heating oil tank cases. The current process is a multi step operation including the following 1) the Uhot Report is emailed to an CSRR resource mailbox (SRPUhot@dep.nj.gov) 2) CSRR's BCAIN staff evaluates the case information and create a Site, Program Interest in Masterfile and an Activity in Central File NJEMS and add specific tasks 3) If a check is received, an assessment is created in Central File. If there is no check, then a “Create Bill” task is added, When the task is completed, and a bill is generated 4) When the bill goes to OpenPending Payment, another task is generated to trigger a notification email for the consultant or tank owner to pay the bill online. 5) Once the bill is paid, another email is generated informing us that the payment has been received and the case is transferred from BCAIN to BFO to be processed.

The UHOT Process can also include submissions of On-Scene Coordinator and of a Permit By Rule (PBR). The PBR and On-Scene Coordinator forms should be included in the upload process but note that the PBRs also have an LSRP component.

Project Justification

Due to the number of reports being submitted via email, the email resource SRPUhot@dep.nj.gov is maxing out the size of the mailbox. An online service would eliminate the need for the resource, simplify the process, and allow the UHot report to be uploaded directly.
