Standardization of Dredging Data
Description
12. Project scope Project Scope:
This project focuses on integrating the Dredging Program into the E2 system to ensure standardized data submission, storage, and retrieval. The current varied formats and inconvenient storage of dredging data within NJEMS have hindered efficient data review and reporting. Leveraging E2's functionalities offers an opportunity to streamline data submission, ensure uniformity, and enhance accessibility for effective utilization of dredging data
With respect to whether this project involves the storage or access to Personal Identifiable Information (PII), our proposal will use all personal data currently being used by the E2 platform.
2. Objectives
Primary Objective: Integrate the Dredging Program into the E2 system to establish a standardized platform for convenient, uniform, and secure data submission. Secondary Objectives:
• Evaluate current data formats and identify areas for standardization.
• Utilize E2's functionalities for similar standardized data submission methods.
• Allow the E2 database to communicate with the NJEMS database, migrate the submitted data into NJEMS
• Develop an interface within E2 dedicated to the Dredging Program.
• Ensure seamless storage and retrieval of dredging data within our database in NJEMS.
• Provide training and support for stakeholders transitioning to the new system
• Build windows within NJEMS for easy access of said dredging data
3. Scope Details
Inclusions:
• Assessment of current dredging data formats and storage within NJEMS.
• Integration of Dredging Program into E2, including customized functionality.
• Data standardization to match E2's submission requirements.
• Establishment of a dedicated section within E2 for the Dredging Program.
• Migration of existing data to the new standardized format within E2.
• Training sessions and documentation for stakeholders.
4. Deliverables
• Integrated Dredging Program section within E2.
• Standardized data submission templates aligned with E2's requirements.
• Seamless migration of existing dredging data into E2.
• Training materials and documentation for stakeholders.
• Create NJEMS data window to view within PEGA
5. Stakeholders
• Dredging Program managers and personnel.
• IT and software development team.
• E2 system administrators.
• End-users responsible for data submission.
Demo of RSP from Jason Lenardo to occur end of this week.
Examples of received forms went to Jim B. Average of 60+ pages per submission of large spreadsheets (lots of detail) that may not transfer to an RSP.
