Brownfield and Community Revitalization success stories
Description
We are creating Story Map using ArcGIS Online and will embed it on the Office of Brownfields and Community Revitalization (OCBR) website. The project showcases Brownfield Development Area (BDA) and Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF) success stories and program information. The intended audience includes potential Brownfield Development Area (BDA) applicants and co-applicants, Licensed Site Remediation Professionals, developers, other government stakeholders, and NJ community members.
The success stories are complete pending approval for public release, so the StoryMap development period is anticipated to be three weeks
Project deliverables include project narrative outline, data library, an ESRI Story Map, and interactive ArcGIS Online maps to contextualize the BDAs and HDSRF sites.
The Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment’s (CSRR’s) Office of Brownfield & Community Revitalization’s (OBCR) Brownfield Success Stories ARCGIS Story Map went live on January 12, 2026 The Story Map uses interactive maps and a multimedia driven narrative to highlight key programs including the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund Program, Brownfield Development Area Program, and Landfill Development Program. The Story Map provides information and resources to assist the regulated community and showcases some of the notable site remediation and redevelopment projects managed in OBCR.
