Radiological Sites Web App

Project Justification
Although not documented, per se, the benefits of making a Web App which our entire office can use should be self-evidentiary. Our office does not have a dedicated staff member for planning inspections; each staff member handles this independently. If all staff had access to a searchable map of our sites, inspection planning could be greatly improved. Our staff conduct over 100 routine inspections per year, in addition to non-routine inspections, incident response, contaminated site visits, and various other field activities. Often, these inspections do not require a full day in the field. Staff use of this map would enable the user to quickly identify other sites in nearby areas or along transit routes, allowing additional field activities to be conducted in the same day. This would reduce travel time/costs, and free that time for staff to complete inspection reports and other daily tasks.
Additionally, OPRA requests received by our office are currently reviewed by four independent staff members. If an accessible map could be created, this effort could be handled by one staff member.
The map would also serve as a localized database of all our sites, which could be accessed for quickly identifying sites and basic info. Some of this info is currently maintained in different locations (NJEMS, shared drive, other databases), and not as easily accessed.
