This project will highlight New Jersey's participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) since (rejoining RGGI in) 2020. These program and projects highlights will then be used to develop part of the next Strategic Funding Plan 2026-2028, which is currently in development. Additionally, you will research the EGUs and perform data analysis on the electric generation side of RGGI. This work will complement the existing RGGI funding dashboard by enhancing public understanding of funding allocations and project outcomes, incorporating GIS (exactly how the funding dashboard currently works). The intent of this project/experience is to provide the intern with hands-on experience in environmental policy and funding coordination between state agencies, narrative construction, digital storytelling, and research and analysis.
