[VG4] Email event notifications are being sent despite Metadata option being disabled
Description
Summary: I have e-mail notifications enabled for my VG49 with the configuration settings below:
However, despite having the options Sensor, Motion, and Metadata disabled, I am still receiving email notifications titled “NVR Event Alarm” which shows no other information:
When Sensor e-mail notifications is enabled (and Motion/Metadata disabled), I receive the following:
When Motion e-mail notifications is enabled (and Sensor/Metadata disabled), I receive the following:
When Metadata e-mail notifications is enabled (and Sensor/Motion disabled), I receive the same type of email:
When I originally set up e-mail notify, Metadata option was enabled at first but then decided to disable it, but the e-mails are still being sent out regardless of the change.
Update:
I realized the other email I added to e-mail list (dwpm.jose251@gmail.com) had Metadata checked, which could be the reason why my primary email (joseg@digital-watchdog.com) was receiving the Metadata emails.
After deleting/re-adding both emails with Metadata option disabled, I no longer receive metadata emails from the recorder.
I enabled Metadata emails once more on the secondary email (dwpm.jose251@gmail.com) and triggered an event. This time, however, a metadata NVR Event Alarm email was not sent to my primary email (joseg@digital-watchdog.com).
In conclusion, adding two different emails, configuring one to receive Metadata NVR Sensor Alarm emails and one to not receive them, will cause both emails to receive Metadata emails.
It’s worth noting that I first attempted to delete joseg@digital-watchdog.com from the email list and added it back with Metadata off. Even after this, my primary email still received metadata emails since dwpm.jose251@gmail.com was still existing with the original Metadata configuration enabled.
