X-RAY system viability and evolution plan

Description

This project will involve a thorough evaluation of current system liabilities and major weaknesses. It will consider reasonably expected and justifiable near and long-term enhancements (according to program priorities and available funding) spelling out in detail those to be tackled and outlining any deferred to the future. Finally, this project will document an agreed plan for the actionable items including the technologies and vendors or other internal or partner resources, ongoing support and maintenance needs and providers, broad timing of all work, cost estimates and funding sources.

Problem Statement

The X-RAY system's historic position outside of the enterprise umbrella of NJEMS means it does not benefit from regular consideration of platform or architecture updates and reliability planning as is happening with NJEMS modernization to PEGA. At present there are questions about some system tools (like Oracle Forms) and the capacity of the vendor (Systemetrix) to navigate a future that will inevitably be web and cloud driven and full of many desired upgrades to take advantage of those trends. Users and customers may encounter unanticipated and long-term outages or even a sudden end-of-system-viability without better long-term planning.

Sent example Modernization Roadmap that was developed for the Pesticides PAS/PPS system to Carrollton to determine if this is something they can take on for all Systemetrix systems, and if so put together a SOW for doing the Modernization Roadmap
