Smart Inspections (Air)

Description

Cloud/Tablet - based smart inspections from planning to violation and action close out.

Problem Statement

A well-designed smart inspection tool (tool) will help the Diesel Enforcement inspectors conduct thorough inspections and collect all pertinent & accurate information (as required by the regulation) during field inspections/investigations. The tool can collect information by taking photographs, scan information (such as bar codes) and enter information by selecting the appropriate choice (dropdowns) for each data field, with option to key-in information, if necessary. A well-designed tool should be able to sync with local weather channel to download pertinent weather information.
All collected information can be uploaded to NJEMS. The information will be used to determine compliance of the regulation. Appropriate enforcement action will be issued to all entities that found to be non-compliant.
