Management from the State Park Service and State Park Police wish to have the ability to see / share events within the state parks, forests, recreation areas and historic sites so that both SPS and SPP are able to share that information. This will help both program areas to plan and coordinate resources for managing events.

This issue still needs to be revisited as such needs drop off for parks when they are busy Memorial to Labor Day. Ben to seek their input on shared resources (naming, access, sharing, etc.) in the fall 2023.

Teams meeting on 7/27/22 with Lt. George Fedorczyk, Sgt. Salerna, Supt. Lauren Rojewski and Phillip Arrigo to discuss options for how to address this need. Liberty currently uses an Outlook calendar that works well. Looking to expand to the other State Park Service Regions. Would setup as resource emails / calendars. I (Ben Trotter) showed them Teams as an option but group wanted to try Outlook since it had proven applicability for Liberty State Park.

Next step would be to engage DoIT on setting up resource email / calendars for;

  • SPS Northern Region Events Calendar

  • SPS Central Region Events Calendar

  • SPS Southern Region Events Calendar

  • SPS Liberty SP Events Calendar

  • SPS Island Beach SP Events Calendar

Sent SPS team email asking for feedback on a name of a staffer that the resource calendars will be associated with.
