Water Compliance Dashboard for State Parks

Description

The goal of this project is to create a dashboard through ArcGIS Experience Builder that can be distributed to State Parks management to help keep them informed of pending deadlines, violations, nearby environmental factors and helpful resources. The initial dashboard must be ready by the opening of seasonal parks in April 2024 with an expanded version that will include other types of state facilities by January 1st, 2025. An important part of this project is to automate the updates of each system monthly to display current violations and monitoring schedules. This would not be a public-facing application and it would only be available to Parks management and DEP employees. Since it is internal only parks management (superintendents, regional managers, and upper management) would need to be set up with AGO viewer accounts, this audience is roughly one hundred members. It would be helpful for BGIS to automate updates from NJEMS or SDWIS if possible, monthly. This project will cover both Drinking Water and Water Quality compliance with information automatically updating through NJEMS or SDWIS. Eventually this project will expand to other state facilities such as DOC, DOE, DOH and DOT locations. The need for this project is driven by repeated failures to submit samples or fix violations in a timely manner. Considering that these are state facilities in violation of state standards it reflects poorly on our authority.

Problem Statement

Parks management lacks visibility on compliance with water requirements across all state parks.
