The land use land cover data was last created in 2020. NJ has had a lot of development and storms in the last 5 years. The 2020 data is out of date.

the LU/LC data sets are used to support many critical environmental projects such as endangered species habitat mapping, solar farm siting analysis and coastal resiliency planning. The data sets are also used extensively by other state departments, federal agencies, counties, municipalities, universities, the private sector, and the general public. No other digital data layer developed by NJDEP is used in more diverse mapping applications than the LU/LC.
