Supt. Patricia Kallesser brought to attention that the recreation area often looses power and in that event the water well will shut down and may not restart without human intervention. She describes the situation as the following, “Invariably, each time the well fails, we have a full campground and then spend several hours relocating campers/switching their reservations and doing our best to continue to smile despite the disruption.
The well contractor Spruce Run works with suggest this type of system and in consultation with Dave Leitinger of DoIT it was deemed a feasible and cost effective solution at $18 a month. When the router looses power a notification via text / email can be sent to Spruce Run staff alerting them to the power loss condition.
